Sims Kitchen Goa Journey

The story of sim’s kitchen goa is a tale of heritage transported from the sun- soaked coast of India to the heart of Swindon. Founded by Simona and Molay the restaurant represents a “dream to reality” journey of bringing authentic portugues influenced Goan flavours to a new community.

From Heritage to High street The kitchen’s roots lie in traditional family recipes passed down through generations. After incorporating sim’s kitchen goa on 17th Feb 2024 simona and Molay transformed their passion for home style cooking into a local landmark at 65 commercial road.

The restaurant celebrated its first anniversary in March 2025, reflecting on a “rollercoaster” year of early mornings and dedication to serving the community. It has since become a “true gem” for those seeking nostalgic taste that diners say remind them of their own mothers cooking.

Merlin Peters Great place to get authentic goan food. We always do a big order and pick it up to take back to plymouth. My favourite are the beef chillyfry on pao, croquettes, potato chops that melt in your mouth, prawn rissoi sorpotel n sanas.. Feel I am back home n eating mums food everytime I eat at Sims Kitchen Goa.

My favourite restaurant to visit. Staff are polite and friendly. My family and I drive almost 2hours to order from Sims. They have a good offer 10bread for 30pounds which is totally worth it. We always order the choriz pao and beef cutlet from here. The beef crockets are amazing too.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Whilst the place itself is quite small, the owners are so friendly and hospitable. They also keep the restaurant spotless clean! The food is absolutely wonderful - we sampled a few different dishes and every dish was delicious and packed with flavour! My two favourite dishes are rissois de camarao and sanna. Would highly recommend!
